These are a mated pair of Booted Racquet-tail hummingbirds, originally photographed by Tony Tillford. Their habitat is in the Andes mountains including Venezuela, Ecuador, Columbia and Bolivia.9 The artist has reinterpreted the environment that surrounds and sustains the hummingbirds... as muted greens and aged whites that feel like light playing softly through bamboo.
